Beautiful message. I would be lying if I said I didn’t sometimes need reminding of that letter. Forgiven is such a powerful word and we definitely take it for granted. I need to remember my responsibility to the author too, thanks for reminding me.

Thank you for reminding me to phrase this in first person to get the full impact:

I am a letter from Christ, who is the Author and Perfecter of my faith.

The Word-made-flesh chose to make us, also flesh, into a word–a letter–from Him.

The message: “Mercy. Grace. Forgiveness. Love. Life.”

And your call to responsibility reminds me of the psalmist who says, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight.” May I be a letter with rich content that reflects its Author well.

Loved this! I had to go check this verse… it is so ME also (I love analogies), and I had missed it too!!
